LOVELY. Hair Lounge is proud to be Ashland’s very first certified sustainable salon—via Green Circle Salons, recycling 95% of its salon waste and we hope to inspire others in the area to do the same. Green Circle Salons is revolutionizing the beauty industry—as the industry’s first sustainable salon solution, dedicated to fighting beauty waste and climate change.
These waste warriors empower salons to offset their emissions and recover up to 95% of their beauty waste.
That includes previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes.
Our industry creates 877lbs of waste per minute (yes, you read that right).

Just last year, this award winning program kept:
1,284,437 lbs of waste out of our landfills and water ways
85,800 kWh of clean energy was generated from waste to energy (that is enough to power 94 homes for a month or charge over 7,000,000 smartphones!)
47 metric tons of Co2e was avoided by keeping 157 metric tons of single-use waste (hair color, single-use items, PPE) out of the landfill. That is the same as taking 10 cars off the road for a year.
Along with being part of this incredible program, we are committed to making our salon sustainable every chance we get.
From the sustainably conscience products we use on our clients to the eco-friendly products we use to clean our space—from the smart bulb LED lighting we’ve installed to the 100% bamboo b corp certified toilet paper we supply our guests, we are truly focused on every little detail!
